I LOVE YOU magazine. Photography: Liam Mulligan. Prop Styling: Nada Bennani
As Editorial Director, I created the tone of voice and wrote for I LOVE YOU magazine's digital relaunch and beauty issue - a project by THE GAABS with a strictly look-good-feel-good standpoint, built on a no-shade-thrown, diverse set of perspectives and ideals.

How I’d write this on LinkedIn

- Planning editorial schedules for the digital magazine, the print issue and social media
- Creating, writing & editing features
- Curating and overseeing contributors
- Handling quality assurance and proofreading
What made the project special
If make-up, skincare, wellness and health routines constitute the journey, then what’s the destination? The magazine sparked a new kind of conversation about beauty – and the editorial approach was co-developed with the creative and art directors. Ben Sharp and Elisabeth Kochan transcreated the German features.
1. Beauty is a medium for a conversation about society and identity.
2. There is not one singular definition of what is beautiful. Perspectives (plural) must interact with one another, so as to enrich the conversation.
3. Inner and outer perceptions of beauty must exist in harmony, and society’s perception of our bodies must be continually discussed.
4. Levity & depth, tradition & innovation, the material and the spiritual should exist side by side and be counted as equal. There is no such thing as guilty pleasure.
5. It can and should be all fun!
